Craftybird at the tiller

Winter cruising with Craftybird

Hello everyone!

Sorry if we have been a bit off the radar recently… we have been really busy moving Craftybird so that she can hang out in a more leisurely fashion during the winter months (November through to February ish)

Our plans are to move between bottom of Knowle flight towards Tom O Wood and top of Hatton on the Grand Union with a visit to the North Stratford Canal and a trip South towards Lowsonford. Its a nice area and quite small so we should be easy to find now!

After attending Banbury Canal Festival, which was absolutely amazing, we went North on the Oxford Canal towards Braunston, whizzing through Cropredy, Fenny Compton and Napton. Then North again on the Coventry canal through Hawksbury Junction, Bedworth, Atherstone, Alvecote, Fazely, Curdworth, Minworth, then through the centre of Birmingham with a stop at Star City before a huge day to Catherine de Barnes, stopping briefly at the top of Knowle Locks before making our way down through the lock flight on 3 November.

With all this cruising, its been hard to open the shop as well! Now that we are going at a more leisurely pace for the next three months or so, we will have time to make up lots of stock and be super easy to find for workshops if you fancy doing one.

Specific details about mooring locations are communicated separately on our Facebook and Instagram pages along with lots of other stuff about what we’re up to. And please do have a look at our online shop which is now open… new stuff being added regularly! www.craftybird.uk

Please do give us a follow and ‘like’ on Facebook or Instagram – even if you can’t come and see us in person! It will mean a lot.

Hope to see you on board Craftybird (either online or in person) soon!
